Methodist Secondary School (ACS), initially called Anglo-Chinese School, is one of the oldest co-educational schools in Seremban. It was built by the Methodist Mission during the British colonisation. The Methodist Mission was approached by the Chinese community, mainly the merchants, to begin a school with Chinese and English as the medium of instruction.
ACS was founded by Chief Inspector Bailey. The first batch of 17 students was enrolled temporarily in a shophouse on 1st February, 1915. The main school building was built in 1916 under the headship of Rev. T. R. Jones, a church pastor.
ACS was unique as it offered three levels of education, i.e. the Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary school. It also had the ACS Continuation School, known as Methodist Afternoon School. Now, the Methodist Secondary School only provides secondary education.
